Don’t Blame Me — I Voted for the Other Guy

When do those bumper stickers come out? You know, the ones which say, “Don’t blame me — I voted for the other guy.”

Given the freaking campaign lasted three years, Obama is like a tired incumbent in his fourth year of office. Frankly, and it is easy to forget, he had fallen behind McCain prior to the economic meltdown. I think that was because Obama was so overexposed the public had grown weary of him until they decided “enough” as far as the Republicans.

So in addition to his massive economic incompetence, there is fatigue with this president already. He very well may not be re-elected, and I’m certain his party will be punished for its gross excesses the next two election cycles. Whatever was new or magical about Obama dissipated the day he started to lie blatantly about earmarks and anything else that annoyed him.

As a New Yorker my first, circa 2006, impression of President Obama was that he was a young David Dinkins; our first, and only, black mayor of NYC. Dinkins was a calm and noble man with a sterling background who was elected mostly because of a belief in racial progress. This lasted about six months until the NY Post renamed him “Do Nothing Dave” because of his general cluelessness of how to solve the city’s problems, and an indifference that there were any.

The end began when a reporter wrote a feature article about the man that began with “He is not nice.” After that illusion fell we just marked time until the next election. Dinkins was the last Democrat elected mayor of New York City, a town of 83% Democrats, in the past sixteen years.

President Obama seems to be on a similar course, a one-trick Pony, ie a good reader, that has no business being POTUS. When the “he is not nice” illusion falls there will be nothing else there.

t\The president needs a new economic adviser

We have spent $787 billion on a stimulus plan. President Obama ridiculed opponents whom he said wanted to “do nothing.” Now, Republican officials never actually took that position, but some economists and pundits did. Their argument was simple: stimulus plans of this type are rarely timed well enough to do much good, and the added spending will be hard to reverse while the additional debt will slow growth in the long term.

Yes Indeed, the president needs a new economic adviser.

Obama 'too tired' to give proper welcome to Gordon Brown

A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".
On behalf of at least half our country's citizens, I apologize to the Brits for having allowed this lazy, arrogant, ignorant Keynian communist to occupy the office of President of the United States. His snub of your country was by design and the "too tired" excuse given by our mass media should be rejected. Please join us American conservatives and show Obama what you really think of him and his communist ilk.

Barnny Frank

Bahney Fwank is no different from any other two-faced liberal. Screaming for equality in every area that benefits him, but giving himself special consideration if it’s something to his detriment

Some thoughts on Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh is a grown-up, a very successful grown-up. He can handle a little vilification in the enemy camp.

Two things are interesting:

He doesn’t get Rush’s message. Mr. Limbaugh wants President Obama to fail not just because it’s provocative to say so and profitable to say so, but also because President Obama program is antithetical to liberty (in Rush’s view). The Media doesn’t seem to understand this point. Their assessment that ideology needs to be complemented with new policies seems to have allowed him to turn a slightly deaf ear to ideology.

The Rush are very cogent and accurate. The Republicans do need to explain that Rush is one voice among many, and the Republicans do need to emphasize policies such as free-market health-care reform. And Republicans do need to show that Republican policies are better at ameliorating economic pain than Democratic policies. Rush Limbaugh, both at CPAC and on his show, sneered at “policies” as if it were a dirty word, and many conservative commentators have pointed out that this is a mistake on his part.

I love getting into a discussion with Libs!

I get the Weekly Standard and read it cover to cover. It is part of a conservative warrior’s arsenal of current events facts.

I love getting into a discussion with one of my lib friends and beating them with the facts.

Of course they resort to the Bush bashing with all their “yeah, but-s”……I just say “yeah but you are wrong” and move on to the next subject.

Mideast Press Questions Obama

The Middle East press has questioned President Obama's authority over Arab-Israeli issues since Charles W. Freeman Jr.'s withdrawal from his appointment to a senior intelligence position. A commentary in Abu Dhabi's the National, a newspaper owned by an investment fund controlled by the government, said Freeman's decision Tuesday to withdraw as chairman of the National Intelligence Council ''threw the Obama administration into the heart of a long-running controversy over the alleged supremacy of pro-Israel hawks
